The Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA) is the largest voluntary professional association for pharmacists and pharmacy support personnel in the country. PSSA represents more than 9 000 members including pharmacists, community service pharmacists, interns, pharmacist’s assistants and pharmacy students. Among other benefits, PSSA promotes the profession to other health care professionals and the public, negotiates on behalf of members with government and stakeholders, offers advice and support, communicate reliable information and relevant news through regular newsletters, journals and social media as well as reviewing and addressing healthcare legislation when published for comments. The Society further offers professional indemnity insurance exclusively to members through a partnership with PPS Short Term Insurance. Branches and Sectors of the society offer Continuing Professional Development opportunity throughout the year where members can interact and network with colleagues.

The PSSA exhibition stand is collaboration between the PSSA National Office and its four sectors namely the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences of SA (APSSA), SA Association of Community Pharmacists (SAACP), SA Association of Hospital and Institutional Pharmacists (SAAHIP) and SA Association of Pharmacists in Industry (SAAPI). Both members and not-yet-members are invited to visit our stand for information and networking.
