Nexus Diagnostics is a molecular plant pathology laboratory based in Franschhoek, South Africa, providing qPCR-based diagnostic testing services for the agricultural sector. Our cannabis and hemp division offers pathogen screening across a 12-virus detection panel, a reduced 3-virus panel, and a 3-panel fungal screen targeting Pythium, Fusarium, and Botrytis, with results delivered within 5–8 working days accompanied by full compliance documentation. We have recently introduced an Early Detection Genetic Sex Test that uses qPCR to identify plant sex from leaf tissue within one to two weeks of germination. In development is our Genetic Marker-Assisted Breeding Programme, which will screen approximately 20 genomic markers associated with cannabinoid profiles, terpene expression, flowering characteristics, and disease resistance. Our services support commercial cultivators, nurseries, breeders, and exporters globally.
