The International Medical Graduate (IMG) Rural GP Programme is a great opportunity to work in Ireland and gain a professional GP qualification.

The IMG Rural GP programme enables experienced IMG GPs to work in routine, daytime rural GP practice for two years. The Irish College of GPs provides a comprehensive education programme.

IMG GPs have access to substantial ongoing supports from the programme team and clinical mentorship in their host GP practice. This programme emphasises professional development. IMG GPs sit the MICGP exams and gain Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council.
