LAOSA (Lymphoedema Association of South Africa) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving awareness, treatment, and support for people living with lymphoedema. We work to make quality care more accessible in both public and private healthcare. Our team maintains a national practice register of certified lymphoedema therapists to ensure patients receive expert care.
We also engage with medical aids to improve treatment coverage and affordability. Education is a big part of what we do—we set training standards for therapists and support research on lymphoedema and related conditions. Through partnerships, events, and awareness campaigns, we’re working to help more people (patients, family, friends and other healthcare providers) understand and manage this condition effectively.
For patients, we provide information and resources, while professionals can access training and networking opportunities. Businesses and sponsors can also support our mission to expand lymphoedema care across South Africa, ensuring better treatment for those who need it most.
