TeleDoctorSA, in partnership with ECG247 and 73 Health, provides digital health and remote cardiac monitoring solutions designed to improve access to cardiovascular care in South Africa. The platform integrates telemedicine, connected medical devices, a patient mobile app, and a clinician electronic medical record (EMR) platform to support screening, diagnosis, monitoring, and long-term follow-up. Patients use the mobile app to access teleconsultations and securely view their ECG results, while clinicians access a cloud-based EMR to review ECG recordings and manage patients remotely. The flagship ECG247 wearable ECG monitoring system continuously records heart rhythms using a lightweight sensor patch, enabling early detection of arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation. The device is SAHPRA registered, reimbursed by Discovery and Medscheme, and the platform was supported by the Google for Startups Accelerator South Africa.
